Parker P2H IO-Link System
The Parker P2H IO-Link system is an H-Series ISO pneumatic valve manifold with an integrated lO-Link network node. The major advantage is that it turns a conventional pneumatic valve bank into a networked, diagnosable device without requiring a large amount of point-to-point wiring.
Key features/advantages
- Reduced wiring
- Instead of running individual I/O wires for every solenoid back to the PLC, the
P2H connects to an IO-Link master through a single communication connection.
- This can reduce wiring, terminal blocks, I/O cards, and installation labor. Parker specifically positions the P2H as a cost-effective alternative to hard-wired or higher-level Ethernet approaches.
- Built-in diagnostics
- The P2H can communicate diagnostic information such as voltage warnings,
temperature warnings, communication errors, and output errors.
- That makes troubleshooting considerably easier than simply seeing that a PLC output is off. The diagnostic information can also support preventive/predictive maintenance.
- Up to 24 solenoid outputs
- One P2H node can support a valve manifold with up to 24 solenoid outputs, making it well suited to relatively large pneumatic valve banks.
- Flexible valve sizing
- The H-Series Universal Manifold allows different valve sizes/flow capacities to be combined on the same manifold. Parker lists flow capacities ranging from approximately 0.5 Cv to 3 Cv.
- Class A or Class B IO-Link
- You can select a Class A or Class B architecture depending on how you want to handle logic and valve power.
- Class A versions provide separate auxiliary valve power and, importantly, power IN and power OUT, allowing power to be distributed
